NEW DELHI: Vivo is yet to reveal its X9s and the X9s Plus smartphones in China, but it looks like the latter is already up for sale on e-commerce websites.
JD.com, a Chinese online retailer has listed the X9s Plus in Matte Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour versions, clearly highlighting the design of the device. The smartphone is listed at a price of CNY 9999.
As per listing, the smartphone will have dual front-facing cameras and a single rear camera. The overall design of the handset largely mimics the X9 and the X9 Plus smartphones. The antenna lines follow the same design, as we have already seen with Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus smartphones.
The listing on the website also says that the smartphone will be up for pre-order until July 7, and the first flash sale will take place on July 8.
For now, there is no word on the specifications of the X9 or X9s Plus. But a recent listing of the X9s Plus on Chinese certification website TENAA has given us a fair idea of the device’s specs.
According to the listing, Vivo X9s Plus will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and will sport a 5.85-inch screen of Full HD resolution.
The smartphone could come with an octa-core processor clocked at 1.85GHz, and may also have 4GB of RAM.
As for the camera, Vivo X9s Plus is said to come with a 16MP rear camera and dual selfie cameras, including a 20MP sensor and a 5MP unit. It’s expected to have 64GB inbuilt storage and a 3,920mAh battery.
There is no word as to when the company plans to launch the X9s and the X9s Plus in India.
Earlier this week, Vivo partnered with Qualcomm to showcase the ‘ultrasonic’ on-screen fingerprint sensor on a customized Vivo Xplay6 smartphone, at the MWC 2017 conference in Shanghai.
